Dear Br. from Alh-ul-Sunnat,
I pray to the Almighty to guide all muslims and actually the entire human race. I have gone through some of the articles on your web site and am afraid you are taking things or history out of context.
First of all the Alh-ul-Bait - are not chosen by the Prophet (peace be upon him and his Alh-ul-Bait). They are chosen by the Almighty Allah (SWT). And Allah (SWT) is JUST and PURE, will not choose unjust, unpure or any one who has commited a sin anytime in his life time - to guide the people.
Simple logic - you go on a ship - knowing you will not get drowned in water. How can a ship save you from getting drowned?. Answer - ship are built to float on water and thus you can go on a ship over water!!!!
Similarly Ahl-ul-Bait are like a ship they will protect you and guide you!!! You cannot have people who them selves are not sure where they are going or need guidance to be Ahl-ul-Bait.
The people who are the Ahl-ul-Bait had to earn it, to be in Ahl-ul-Bait. It is not a free bee. No doubt Allah (SWT) gives to whom he pleases, but he does not give or make some one to lead people if that person is dummy - make sense? - A dummy can become a king or president or ceo of a company - and lo-and-behold people under him will not be happy.
So based on Ayat a Mubahilah - we know who the Ahl-ul-Bait are - here Allah (SWT) asked the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) to take the people with him and invoke the curse of Allah (SWT) on the liars!!! Here, you should read the history and find out who he took - you will find the Ahl-ul-Bait!!!. If the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) took Hadhrat Aisha (RA) or any of his wife (RA) then she or they are in the Ahl-ul-Bait - simple enough.
I pray to Allah (SWT) to guide you and myself to the true religion of Al-Islam - and save us from the fire whose fuel are men and stones.
