today i made the mistake of reading the muslimmatters.org blog.   actually, i don’t know if i can call this a mistake anymore if i do it more often than once a month.  perhaps i just hate myself so damn much that i read the blog as a means of self-flagellation. anyway, i came across this post (i will spare you the language i would rather use to describe it) on terrorism and related bunk. the post was long and too pathetic to warrant much of a description. the gist of it was something like this:

“terrorism is baaaaaad and harrraaaaaam! and the shuyookh and kibaaaar ulema say so! and if you are a terrorist you will burn in hell while being forced to watch reruns of America’s Next Top Model for all eternity! Any poor soul who dares even utter a word to the contrary is now one of the kharwaaaaarij!” btw, after the cult of SalafiPublications/TROID/Salafitalk.net/ “Akh-ees” in general, Muslimmatters has now taken upon itself the use of such terminology and they’ll go at it with you if you disagree with them one iota (on anything of substance).  it is garbage taken right out of the playbook of the neo-salafi cult/groups, but i digress.

the post goes on…and on…and on while they round up the usual suspects. Al Qaeda is to blame for all of the problems of the world … everything from the global financial crisis to breast cancer to the whole Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift fiasco. Omg, wait a minute, duuuuude, maybe that wasn’t Kanye West jumping on stage after all?! What if it was an Al Qaeda inspired Somali sleeper cell agent who jumped on stage pretending to be Kanye West in order to disrupt the entire MTV vma’s?  Then with America distracted by the controvery – and Kanye West’s career in jeopardy – Qaeda khawaaaarij militants could unsuccessfully mount yet another attack somewhere and NOT achieve the goal of establishing an Islamic State! Ohhhhh crap! I think i’m on to something really big here guys…lemme contact the investigatory body of muslimmatters at once!

at this point in my life i hate blogging…i genuinely do.   so, in order to make me actually write something on this pathetic excuse for a blog must mean that i was irritated to say the very least.   the Muslim “blogosphere” is at times quite disgusting – but muslimmatters is worse…

what bothered me the most was when amad of muslimmatters defending the article by giving examples of the billions-upon-billions of posts the blog did on other “serious” issues confronting the Ummah…palestine, the “Lal masjid incident” (where you kinda sorta blamed the students of the red mosque for their own demise br. Amad), Dr. Afia Siddiqui (a lady who actually did take a shot at a US law enforcement official), Dr. Ali al Timimi.    Seriously, the two or three little lame posts on Dr. Ali al Timimi?  What the?!   Are you kidding?   Would Dr. Ali really approve of such a post?  Even if he did, i would imagine that he would have been more balanced in his approach and far less dramatic than the author(s) in this case.   I personally found the use of Dr. Ali al Timimi (and other examples) as a defense of the article to be unfortunate and mildly distasteful, yet fully in keeping with the modus operandi of Muslimmatters.

it is sad, but if this is the kind of sentiment that is going to be the “new-normal” or future of thought in the Ummah (vis-a-vis Islamic organizations, scholars, blogs, etc) count me out ahh-kees!   i’m done.   time to pack up and head home.    UFC anyone?

an anniversary, of sorts…

Posted by abu ameerah on Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Howdy ya’ll! I hope everyone is having an absolutely splendid Ramadan…

Synkronyzer (aka Imam Abdul Rahman Chao) takes an interesting look at the Magna Carta Unity Based on Renewal and Guidance…one year on.

Since we are in the blessed month of Ramadan, I’ll hold back my critiques of this “pledge” – but I do intend on expanding upon it soon, Allah willing. Needless to say, Synkronyzer takes a truly fair and balanced approach in his commentary on this Unity pledge. For those who are concerned … don’t worry! There will be plenty of “gyrating hips” and establishment of the “Haaaaq” (pronounced HA-cK) to look forward to in his commentary.

Anyway here is just a taste that I felt encapsulated the entire post (yep … I’m giving you a taste like a dealer around the corner so that you’ll get hooked):

“If unity is the true issue, then let’s have all the signatories come up with concrete steps. The longer this drags on the more people are going to view that this pledge is a blank check to legitimize opposing views which is not the point of this pledge. We should treat the problems that Muslims are facing and not mumble over it and watch immature groupies scream at each other defending the honor of this teacher at this institute or another.”

Synkronyzer, Did you ever know that your my hero? … Everything I would like to be? I could flyyyyyyy higher than an eagle … because you are the wind beneath my wings!

(Caution: the video above is blatantly haraam. please feel free to throw me off the manhaj now!)

a question…

Posted by abu ameerah on Wednesday, September 26, 2007

Where do contemporary Neo-Traditionalists find the nerve to attack Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah (mainstream Muslims & Scholars alike) with serious accusations of shirk when one of their most famous figures, Ibn Arabi (the deviant mystic), is clearly guilty of such crimes? How about al Hallaj (kaffir mystic)? Rumi, where he states, “I am God.”? Until, and unless, we have real intellectual honesty — and clarity — amongst Muslim scholars (on a whole host of issues including Aqeedah) … I find that “pacts” of any description will easily be rendered meaningless.

what’s the “big news” over at MuslimMatters.org ???

Posted by abu ameerah on Tuesday, September 4, 2007

Have you ever wanted to find answers to some of the most important questions confronting mankind? Do you ever wonder what you’re life means in the grand cosmic scheme of things? Have you ever pondered the meaning of life itself? Have you ever been visited by Extraterrestrial beings? Is George W. Bush really that stupid? Is the the purple Teletubby (Tinky Winky) really gay?

Well…you won’t be finding answers to those questions (I think). However, you will find answers for questions related to Ramadan and other key Islamic topics. Actually, I’m not so sure about the whole “gay Teletubby” thing. Who knows, there might be a conclusion on that as well…

Anyway, do yourself a favor and check it out — if you haven’t already done so. Real Islamic scholars (Sh. Yasir Qadhi and Sh. Yaser Birjas) will be taking YOUR questions so feel free to give it to ‘em … Full-Force!

sign of the times…

Posted by abu ameerah on Thursday, August 9, 2007

A Dutch Member of Parliament (MP) has called for a complete ban on the Qur’an from the Netherlands. Once again, we see how ignorance rears its ugly head. Attacking Islam, or at least marginalizing Muslims, has become common in many European countries as former colonial powers feel forced to confront the issue of an enormous population growth among immigrants of middle eastern descent (Arabs from N. Africa, Turks, Pakistanis, black Africans from east & west Africa, etc). I suppose this is a sign of the times in which we live.

Tom Tancredo shows us the real face of Patriotism

Actually Ann Coulter already said a similar statement years ago — she then got the support of FOX News as well. Anyway, while most seem to have been shocked and expressed some level of disapproval … here are the reactions of (just some) of those who agree with Tancredo:

BRAVO! FINALLY, SOMEONE WITH GUTS!

Posted By Anonymous

Honestly I can not think of another deterrant that would hold such power over the Islamo-Fascist terrorists. Im like him, If theres a better way Im all ears but until then hit them where it hurts the most. It took an atom bomb to bring the Japanese into submission during WWII. They were fighting for their “religion” and were fanatics as well. What is going to be todays “atom bomb” for the Islamic terrorists?

Posted By Kyle Massey Blue Springs Mo

“Crazy”,,”Reprehensible”????
I’m not so sure. These so called “people” seem to understand only violence and fear. Perhaps this is one method we should try before we succumb to the ol’ polical corrdctness which is already ruining this country!

Posted By Brooklyn, NY

Sounds right by me. Just start with the most militant mosques/clerics and work your way out from there. Does this mean that there ARE people in Washington that still have the ability to THINK?

Posted By Danny Houston, TX

I support the idea of publicly stating that if another terrorist act takes place in the US, some facilities considered sacred in Islam, will be destroyed.

Posted By Art, Mobile, AL

Since Tom Tancredo is the only one with any guts on this issue, which is the primary issue of our times, he gets my vote for president.

Posted By C Glenn

He’s correct, if we keep backing off, they will keep advancing, time to take a stand and say no more, you attack us, we will attack what you love. More power to him!!!!

Posted By Dean, Niles Ohio

100% agree. If these nut case islamic fundamentalist want to even think of attacking us we should make it perfectly clear to them that if you even attemp to attack us and suceed, we will turn all your holy sites into a super sized craters.I suggest we wait until they are all at Mecca then bomb it. They showed no mercy for us on 9/11, so we are just returning the favor.

Posted By Chris

Right on! If they know Mecca will be wiped of the earth and still attack they have only themselves to blame. George Bush is the only reprehensible and crazy one in the issue.

Posted By Henry Greenville Virginia

It is what these jihadists do in the name of Allah that is reprehensible. When are we going to wake up and realize that you cannot fight a “Holy War” on a political basis? Israel also should take Tancredo’s advice and launch a rocket into the Dome of the Rock for every rocket that lands on their soil. This is the language that these hate and fear mongers understand.

Posted By Mike, Worland, Wyoming

I agree and we should also atteack their women and children as they are part of the problem too, the children will turn to terrorists and if you think the women are not as crazy and dangerous as their terrorist husbands and sons, then this country is in more trouble than i thought.

Posted By Scott Harris, San Diego, California

I absolutely agree with everything he said. We’ve got to do something. As bad as Hiroshima and Nogasaki were, maybe we need to repeat some history. People in the middle east are obviously crazy, and haven’t been pursuaded thus far. We’ve tried to help them and it hasn’t worked. And if they’re going to keep killing themselves and attacking our country then we might as well send them a message they can understand.

Posted By Greg Topeka ks

YES!!!!Thank God for Tom Tancredo. Bombs Away! This is a Christian-Muslim conflict, whether you like it or not, andamerica is a Christian country, whether you like it or not

Posted By Jeff, san Diego Ca

He has the guts to stand up, and call a spade a spade. It is this “political correctness” which has landed us in this “war on terrorism”.

Posted By Spade

Good for Tancredo! This is a great idea, however, the politically correct elite will feel this is too “extreme” to deal with attacks on N.A.

Posted By Susan, Alberta, Canada

I agree, bomb their holiest cities.

Posted By AC, Tampa, FL

I agree with Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo’s assertion that the U.S. must be able to attack holy sites and/or any other target that matters most to terrorists as a way of life. They attack our way of life. They attacked the American people. The United States must be able to make Muslims, or any other group, think twice about attacking U.S. interests. Having been deployed in Iraq for 30 months straight, the U.S. military is fighting with one arm tied behind their backs, because of bad foreign policy and politics. The current foreign policy and tactics of the U.S. is a failure in Iraq and against terrorism in general, period. Enough politicking. More action is needed that not only protects the integrity of our Constitution and way of life, but the future of our children and the rest of the world. As long as the American government is seen as weak in responses to catastrophes against the U.S., the more attacks will be given birth.

Posted By Mike. Atlanta, Georgia

Tancredo’s policy would also ensure that planning any such attack is almost impossible, as fellow Muslims would give up their compatriots to prevent such retribution

Posted By Roger, NYC, NY

Outstanding; it is about time somebody had the courage to stand up and suggest something that the silent majority would support! Before Vietnam, wars were fought by the military; not by the media and ignorant government officials. What are those currently opposed to this war going to say when it truly reaches our shores and endangers THEIR lives?

Posted By Michael E Blackmore, St. Cloud, FL

Treat the Islamic fundamentalists like Japan of the 1940’s. Blunt force trauma is the only thing that they will respect and understand. Good call Tom.

Posted By Steve, Oakville, Ontario

Finally! Yes! The perfect deterrent. Absolutely! I am behind this idea 110%. Since they hold no value on human life, but only on “holy” places, I can’t think of anything that would be a better deterrent than this.

Posted By Janet, Corpus Christi, Texas

finally someone who wants to stick up for the USA- we should of done this sooner, like right after 9/11, vote for this guy if you wanna save our country!

Posted By mike

Finally….someone who understands the mentality and the true nature of the threat we face as Americans. This, along with other drastic measures, should be implemented in order to make these people understand that we mean business!

Posted By B. Black, Houston Texas

I concur. The only effective deterrent to another attack is to guarantee that it will result in the destruction of something the loss of which the enemy will not risk.

Posted By Ralph Egleston, Lee’s Summit, MO

Man this guy just hit the nail squarely on the head. This is my guy for President. We are tired of feeling threatened and we need to promise the ultimate payback. Fair game I say.

Posted By Jay Memphis TN

I would vote for Tancredo.

Posted By Dave, Leesburg, VA.

First, anyone who think s saudi arabia is our ally is woefully uniformed. We’ve been way too hands off with these guys, the Muslim world – MANY of whom wouldn’t think twice about nuking us – for way too long. It’s time we really meant business. They do. I’ve lived in the middle east and believe me, this kind of thing is the only thing they’ll pay attention to.

Posted By Matt, Boston, MA

I swear, I’ve been saying this for years. It’s called a deterent, all of you crybabies. It’s called, you “F” with me, I’ll “F” with you ten times worse. I bet the Muslim world runs out of holy sites before we run out of bombs.

Make Mecca glow in the dark for the next 2,000 years and see who wants to play tough with us again.

And if we bomb Pakistan into the stone age, killing ever man, woman, child, goat, and blade of grass, who do you think is going to try anything? No, instead, you have your own elected officials trying to withdraw from battles because their political success is tied to us being defeated and they spend more time worrying about the rights of terrorists (you know, you call them “insurgents”) and whether or not we should eavesdrop on them to protect this country.

Needs someone with a pair of stones to keep the whiney liberals’ right to be whiney liberals’ safe. And they just don’t realize it’s the right that fights the fights to help protect their freedom to be on the left. Go to the Middle East and see how well liberals fare, then moan about the U.S. government.

Posted By Jason, Las Vegas NV

Good for him! It’s about time a politician made sense. This is the only kind of reason these people understand.

Posted By Mike N. Lebanon, CT

Im with you Tom. Kill them all!

Posted By John Bosa, Stuart, Florida

Considering the Saudis have been the primary sponsor of terrorism around the world since the early seventies and are actively involved in undermining western civilization. I think this would send a loud and clear message to the Islamic fundamentalists there that there is a great price to be paid by them for trying to undermine and destroy our civilization.

Nuke’em all.

Posted By Canadian Infidel, Ontario, Canada

Well folks,
Maybe this is a bit extreme, but he has got the right idea. After Pearl Harbor was attacked were we supposed to sit around and sing Kumbyeya (sorry, spelling)? If this country is attacked again, SOMETHING HAS to happen beside sitting around debating and talking about it. Haven’t you realized … this isn’t working. BTW. the Saudis truly aren’t our allies.

I totally agree with Tom. If a Bully attacks hit them where it hurts. You cannot reason with these insane fanatics. Being a pacifist sounds nice but it doesnt seem to ever accomplish anything.

I agree! That’s a powerfull threat & one they most likely will take seriously! It’s about time for some tough talk from Washington. I’m sick of these whiners, including our current president. Could weadopt this guy to run for president? PLEASE!

Posted By John R. Rochdale, MA

Actually, this may be an eventuality if things continue. We should never apologize to Islam, for Muhammad was a stone cold killer of innocent people—and WWMD (What Would Muhammad Do?) shapes Islamic thinking.
And their thinking, is their Achilles Heel. We should have already adopted a defillation policy if we weren’t so maddeningly PC…in other words, FEED TERRORIST BODIES TO HOGS; and that will deter them quite a bit by denying them access to Paradise.

Why I don’t attend ISNA Conferences…

Reason #12,847

Disclaimer: I apologize for the following…

  1. This use of instrumentation during this mini ISNA concert program.
  2. The poor use of instruments during this mini ISNA concert program.
  3. The inability of the lead singer to actually…well…sing. Didn’t this guy attend Choir in high school like the rest of us?
  4. The waste of time you probably experienced while watching this video.
  5. The noise pollutions that this band (and the video of this band) has caused.

irritated…

Posted by abu ameerah on Friday, July 20, 2007

Came back from Salat al Jummah not too long ago. The whole experience was rather unpleasant. I suppose that I have to get used to this … now that I am no longer near a normal Muslim community. Anyway, I arrived at the Masjid late (the Khateeb was also late) and parked in the muddy field area. Actually that wasn’t so bad. Alhamdulillah, I was able to leave the Masjid much faster after the Khutbah was over — leaving the Masjid is pretty much my only highlight for Jummah these days.

So I enter the masjid and….. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh! Allah Paak Parwardegar-e-Alam!!!! The Khateeb for today is a well known innovator! Actually, he has been our Guest-Khateeb before … but it has been a while since he last gave a Khutbah and I just hoped that community (and its ever so ignorant leadership) simply forgot about this guy. Despite my hopes, unfortunately, this wasn’t to be the case. I should have known something was up since this guy has been coming to the Masjid for the last 3 Fridays.

GREAT! I think to myself. That’s just freakin’ Great!

So I quickly (and ever so frantically — like a deer in headlights) look to find a place to sit and situate myself … and what do I see … I notice our “dear” sisters sitting in their appointed SISTERS AREA … looking like a bunch of colorful butterflies as they swooooon away at the words of our Innovator Deviant Khateeb. The Sisters Area is another point of contention that I have with this Masjid … they literally sit right behind the brothers. I kid you not … right FREAKIN’ behind. No partition (because that would certainly be a “wahabi” thing) … no modesty … no distance … nothing. Why not just pray right next to me? How about that? That way… instead of focusing on the Khutbah … the brothers (who aren’t married) can think about suitable candidates for marriage. Sound good huh? TASTY. I just wanna eat that idea up…

So I find a place. I thought it was as far as I could possibly be from our “dear” sisters and damned if I wasn’t wrong. I could have managed to squeeze my rather large frame over to the verrrrrrry verrrrry right hand side of the Masjid — however I thought that area was full. Well….boo-hoo for me. I suppose I’m just that dumb.

I won’t get into all of the nonsense that the Khateeb spoke of (and tried to use as his Daleel) … as this would lead to another post in and of itself. However, for the purpose of clarification, I’ll just mention that the Khateeb used (as his first point) a quote from Abdul Qadir Jilani. WHAT THE ….. ?

Please don’t come to the defense of Jilani … there is no point. I am not some angry teenager who feels the need to attack scholars … but I do know a coded reference when I see one. As a well known (extreme) Sufi the Khateeb could have used references from soooooo many great scholars in Islamic history — but he chose Jilani. And, since I am not a complete fool, Alhamdulillah, I know what that means. ; ) Wink Wink.

Anyway, the Khateeb finishes his rant of a Khutbah. I leave ASAP. See brothers and sisters milling about in the lobby. Who cares about that, right? So I basically jet. I see no point dealing with these folks or making “suggestions” or giving advice as my father says. Many people, much better than I, have made suggestions and given advice to these people only to get completely shot down. So, let’s be honest, what is the point of a Wahabi-Salafist-Extreme-Militant-Radical-Nutter like myself going to say to these folks to change their minds?

What bothers me is not that there are people lack knowledge …

What bothers me is the Arrogance of those who lack knowledge.

Demonizing Muslims is fun…really…it is!

Posted by abu ameerah on Sunday, July 1, 2007

Faux News (FOX) up to it’s old tabloid new tricks again. You silly guys! When are you going to learn that you could just kill every Muslim — one military invasion at a time — that’s all? What are us Mozzzlems going to do against your sophisticated military hardware? All we have are camels and cous-cous, right?! How could the Mozzzlems fund a sustained military campaign? The oil is gonna run out, eventually, ain’t it? C’mon FAUX News…get with the program.

Anway, here is a rather tasty article that I came across…

“In the third Hannity & Colmes segment Friday night (6/29/07) devoted to the London car bomb, the sole guest was Brigitte Gabriel, aka “The Shrieking Muslim Hater.” Whatever the question, Gabriel answers it by shrieking about how horrible and how dangerous Muslims are. Naturally, she’s a favorite of Sean Hannity. With video.

The chyron on the screen read, “Are Muslim extremists in London to blame for this plot?” One wonders why FOX News bothered to put it in the form of a question. With a single guest like Gabriel, there’s only one answer. And, just in case the audience doubted her opinion, the chyron under her name said, “Terrorism Expert.” However, the audience never found out what kind of credentials she had.”

Read on:

http://www.newshounds.us/2007/07/01/fox_news_makes_political_hay_out_of_the_london_car_bomb_plot_pt_3_by_demonizing_muslims.php#more

After you read through the article in the link above. Why not check out these peaceful Zionists (that Brigitte Gabriel so fondly speaks of) in action:

Actually, the Palestinian girl is probably a terrorist. Well, at least she looks kinda mean.   So she should feel greatful that she didn’t catch a sniper round to the head.

you give it sheikh…oh, you give it!

Posted by abu ameerah on Saturday, December 30, 2006

of course….the sheikh’s words are taken entirely out of context…both in the editing of this clip and of the perceptions by all of those “freedom” lovers who view it….

Dr. Abd Al-Aziz Fawzan Al-Fawzan: Someone who denies Allah, worships Christ, son of Mary, and claims that God is one third of a trinity so you like these things he says and does? Dont you hate the faith of such a polytheist who says God is one third of a trinity, or who worships Christ, son of Mary?”

Someone who permits and commits fornication – as is the case in Western countries, where fornication is permitted and not considered a problem don’t you hate this? Whoever says, “I don’t hate him, is not a Muslim, my brother.[…]

This is not racism, my brother. We don’t hate a polytheist because of his color, gender, blood, country, or because he is American, European, Chinese, or Asian. They are our partners in humanity. An American Muslim may be better Allah’s view than all the Arabs.[…]

But if this person is an infidel even if this person is my mother or father, God forbid, or my son or daughter – I must hate him, his heresy, and his defiance of Allah and His prophet. I must hate his abominable deeds. Moreover, this hatred must be positive hatred. It should make me feel compassion for him, and should make me guide and reform him.

Ohhhhhhhh…..he GAVE IT again! The “fair and balanced” media (and all of the puppets who control it) just loves ripping such statements apart. Muslims are not a people of hatred.
