condemning the condemnation[ists]…

Posted by abu ameerah on Saturday, February 23, 2008

Unfortunately there are those within the Ummah today who feel it is their job - nay - it is their calling to blame Muslims for just about everything in the world. I like to refer to them as the “blame-Muslims-first” crowd. Now, I must admit, I like blaming Muslims for just about everything as much as the next guy… but … when these folks make it a habit of running with rumors and blindly accepting whatever a biased (western) media has to say (on every issue possible concerning Izzlam/Mozzlems/the Middle East/A-rabs/whatever) — I find myself getting more than a little irritated.
I know what you’re thinking … okayuhhh … actually I don’t know what you’re thinking. However, let us assume (for arguments sake) that - LIKE ME - you enjoy blaming Muslims for a lot of things. Fun isn’t it? Yeah, I know. I particularly enjoy making fun of nationalistic Muslim immigrants who seem to bring all of their back-home garbage to the US. Idiots - pure and simple.

I also enjoy mocking any kind of nationalist Muslim. I essentially look at it this way … I don’t take pride in my heritage/culture and neither should you. I don’t give a damn about what “your people” did many moons ago … or what leaders your nation(s) gave rise to … or in what wars the sons of your nation died. I simply don’t care. I would rather organize my sock drawer, listen to endless hours of bluegrass, or watch reruns of the Britney Spears/Kevin Federfag reality show that aired some time ago, than listen to one minute of such crap. So … it should be clear to the reader … that I don’t hold back on Muslims. When we screw up — and we often do — I won’t hesitate to admit it. I simply choose to do so by putting things into context (something that many of us have completely forgotten about) and to consider the source where I am getting my information from.

Let us look at one such case where some Muslims have chosen to run with media garbage propaganda and consequently look kinda silly for doing it. Does anyone remember the story sensationalist media propaganda about the retarded Iraqi female bombers?

This was a joke from the beginning and had a FOX Noise quality stench about it. It reminded me somewhat of that rumor - that some in the media were pointing to as fact - of female terrorists who were stuffing (either by manual insertion or through surgical implantation) explosives inside of their wombs or genital cavities (poon in scientific terms) so as not to be detected by security personnel at airports. As the story rumor went, these evil Mozzzlem female terrorists were supposed to detonate their poontastic explosives aboard commercial aircraft thus snuffing out the lives of beautiful white people and their little white babies. Oh the horror! Well it turned about to be nothing but crap … and like much of the crap that comes out of the bowels of media in this country the rumor was eventually flushed away and only managed to come back as diarrhea on FOX Noise a few more times.

Anyway here is how the retarded Iraqi female bomber rumor was perceived by some Muslims

and here is something that is likely much closer to the truth

In addition to having little faith in the media…reactions like this are why I really don’t trust…
ikhwanees,
(supposedly) reformed madkhalees,

pakistani politics…

Politics in Pakistan seems to get dirtier (if that is even possible) when you take in account the Bhutto Factor. I’m sure you’re disgusted…so am I.

Muslim astronauts…

I think that the news of Muslims in space must have the NeoCons a bit alarmed. Quick! Somebody raise the Terror Alert Level!

a grim anniversary…

Posted by abu ameerah on Monday, September 17, 2007

Today, the survivors of the Sabra and Shatila massacre will recall a dark moment in history. It was today, Sept. 17th 1982, that a Lebanese Christian militia (supported by Israel) invaded a Palestinian refugee camp and went about the process of methodically killing all civilian inhabitants. The few survivors who did manage to escape this act of genocide 25 years ago are again reminded of the past when looking at the recent destruction of the Nahr al Bared refugee camp by the Lebanese military. The reality is that in a world of dirty politics, where allegiances can easily shift or be bought & sold at a moments notice, it is the civilian who often pays the ultimate price. I wonder how much media attention this won’t will get?

Robert Fisk visited the scene of the massacre…

look who’s talkin’ now…

Posted by abu ameerah on Sunday, September 16, 2007

Did former FED Chairman Alan Greenspan just say a mouthful? I think he did…I think he did. I don’t expect much to come of Greenspan’s recent thoughts. After all, he is a private citizen now and is entitled to his own opinion like any other American citizen — or that might be the argument of the Whitehouse as they’ll likely be doing some damage control to counter Greenspan. Ultimately though, Greenspan’s thoughts amount to a political “wedgie” given to the Commander in Chief Thief…not much else.

food during Ramadan…

Posted by abu ameerah on Friday, September 14, 2007

A new French book is aimed at Muslims fasting during the month of Ramadan. The purpose of this book is to encourage healthy eating so that Ramadan, the month of fasting, does not become the month of feasting (and unnecessary weight gain). I think this book is brilliant! There should be similar books written and distributed by medical professionals throughout the Muslim world. I should be the first person in line to buy this book…

pakistani politics…

So much for democracy in Pakistan, huh Busharraf supporters? I suppose, former cricketer, Imran Khan recently joined forces with the Taliban. Talk about persona non grata! Subhanallah, when will Muslims wake up?

a question…

Posted by abu ameerah on Wednesday, September 12, 2007

Why is it the case that if Muslims (or anyone from the Middle East) are involved in a bombing/attack of some sort…the media rushes to the conclusion that such an attack is a nefarious terrorist plot…however…when it happens in Mexico it is merely an act of “sabotage”???

slightly amusing…

Posted by abu ameerah on Monday, September 10, 2007

Authorities in Israel recently arrested this group for involvement in a number of crimes as well as membership in a Neo-Nazi group. Oh the irony of it all. Besides having Neo-Nazis to contend with…I found it particularly amusing that these guys got to Israel through the “law of return” which enables just about ANYONE (it seems) with even remote Jewish ancestry to legally reside in Israel. I suppose importing Russian Jews in droves kinda came back to bite ‘em in the latka this time…

GOP woes & Indecision 2008

Posted by abu ameerah on Sunday, September 2, 2007

Saturday’s resignation of Senator Larry Craig highlights what has loomed over the GOP for quite some time now…Hypocrisy. The “H” word almost seems to be a running theme amongst conservatives with the most recent controversy surrounding Larry Craig. To be fair though, both sides of the isle have had their fair share of - shall we say - unsavory moments. Think back to Rep. William Jefferson who the FBI discovered had $90,000 stashed away in his freezer. You know, for those “rainy days” when a Congressman simply wants to splurge on a new tie or leather briefcase. Or think about the Kennedy’s for a moment — a political family known for having skeletons in the closet. So, while such contraversy is not necessarily limited to one political party … it just seems so much more fun to point it out among Republicans.

Unfortunate for them, Republicans have had (and continue to have in some cases) a somewhat unique tendency to constantly bark about everything from “family values” to “weapons of mass destruction”… the problem is that they can’t help but fail on such issues when all of the political dust settles and the lies are exposed. Larry Craig, having reluctantly resigned from the Senate, now belongs to a new fraternity of brothers whose members include the likes of Tom Delay, Mark Foley (who was even later avoided by Scientologists if you can believe that), Alberto Gonzales, Scooter Libby, Karl Rove, and David Vitter just to name a few. While the circumstances in the cases of these political figures may differ — their eventual fall from grace seems to strike an all too similar note. A once powerful politician racked by scandal…now beleaguered — by an opposition out for blood — and on the defense while fighting to restore a tarnished reputation…only to end up being forced out of office and marginalized by former allies and party officials.

the poets of guantanamo…

Posted by abu ameerah on Monday, August 27, 2007

guantanamo_book.jpg

This article looks a at newly released book containing poetry written by some of the detainees in Camp X-Ray (Guantanomo), aka “gitmo”. I thought this quote from the article spoke volumes:

“Commander JD Gordan, a Pentagon spokesman, said the detainees “have attempted to use this medium as merely another tool in their battle of ideas against Western democracies”.

Hmmmmm….if, according to Commander JD Gordan, poetry is a “tool” that Guantanamo’s abused detainees are using in “battle” against Western democracies…I think that this may demonstrate how truly weak and pathetic Western democracies are (or at least have become). If indeed words - poetry no less - can be regarded as tools of warfare … then I suppose we are all capable of being enemies of the state. Perhaps the Communists said the same of Vaclav Havel, once upon a time.

Personally, I believe that the world would be better off if we all took a page from the detainees of Guantanamo and simply let our words be our weapons. I could be wrong though…

investing the wrong way…

I am all for economic growth and development…but I have to ask…

Since when were we (Muslims) allowed to invest in casinos? What’s next…majority stock ownership of Anheuser-Busch?

sign of the times…

Posted by abu ameerah on Thursday, August 9, 2007

A Dutch Member of Parliament (MP) has called for a complete ban on the Qur’an from the Netherlands. Once again, we see how ignorance rears its ugly head. Attacking Islam, or at least marginalizing Muslims, has become common in many European countries as former colonial powers feel forced to confront the issue of an enormous population growth among immigrants of middle eastern descent (Arabs from N. Africa, Turks, Pakistanis, black Africans from east & west Africa, etc). I suppose this is a sign of the times in which we live.

Tom Tancredo shows us the real face of Patriotism

Actually Ann Coulter already said a similar statement years ago — she then got the support of FOX News as well. Anyway, while most seem to have been shocked and expressed some level of disapproval … here are the reactions of (just some) of those who agree with Tancredo:

BRAVO! FINALLY, SOMEONE WITH GUTS!

Posted By Anonymous

Honestly I can not think of another deterrant that would hold such power over the Islamo-Fascist terrorists. Im like him, If theres a better way Im all ears but until then hit them where it hurts the most. It took an atom bomb to bring the Japanese into submission during WWII. They were fighting for their “religion” and were fanatics as well. What is going to be todays “atom bomb” for the Islamic terrorists?

Posted By Kyle Massey Blue Springs Mo

“Crazy”,,”Reprehensible”????
I’m not so sure. These so called “people” seem to understand only violence and fear. Perhaps this is one method we should try before we succumb to the ol’ polical corrdctness which is already ruining this country!

Posted By Brooklyn, NY

Sounds right by me. Just start with the most militant mosques/clerics and work your way out from there. Does this mean that there ARE people in Washington that still have the ability to THINK?

Posted By Danny Houston, TX

I support the idea of publicly stating that if another terrorist act takes place in the US, some facilities considered sacred in Islam, will be destroyed.

Posted By Art, Mobile, AL

Since Tom Tancredo is the only one with any guts on this issue, which is the primary issue of our times, he gets my vote for president.

Posted By C Glenn

He’s correct, if we keep backing off, they will keep advancing, time to take a stand and say no more, you attack us, we will attack what you love. More power to him!!!!

Posted By Dean, Niles Ohio

100% agree. If these nut case islamic fundamentalist want to even think of attacking us we should make it perfectly clear to them that if you even attemp to attack us and suceed, we will turn all your holy sites into a super sized craters.I suggest we wait until they are all at Mecca then bomb it. They showed no mercy for us on 9/11, so we are just returning the favor.

Posted By Chris

Right on! If they know Mecca will be wiped of the earth and still attack they have only themselves to blame. George Bush is the only reprehensible and crazy one in the issue.

Posted By Henry Greenville Virginia

It is what these jihadists do in the name of Allah that is reprehensible. When are we going to wake up and realize that you cannot fight a “Holy War” on a political basis? Israel also should take Tancredo’s advice and launch a rocket into the Dome of the Rock for every rocket that lands on their soil. This is the language that these hate and fear mongers understand.

Posted By Mike, Worland, Wyoming

I agree and we should also atteack their women and children as they are part of the problem too, the children will turn to terrorists and if you think the women are not as crazy and dangerous as their terrorist husbands and sons, then this country is in more trouble than i thought.

Posted By Scott Harris, San Diego, California

I absolutely agree with everything he said. We’ve got to do something. As bad as Hiroshima and Nogasaki were, maybe we need to repeat some history. People in the middle east are obviously crazy, and haven’t been pursuaded thus far. We’ve tried to help them and it hasn’t worked. And if they’re going to keep killing themselves and attacking our country then we might as well send them a message they can understand.

Posted By Greg Topeka ks

YES!!!!Thank God for Tom Tancredo. Bombs Away! This is a Christian-Muslim conflict, whether you like it or not, andamerica is a Christian country, whether you like it or not

Posted By Jeff, san Diego Ca

He has the guts to stand up, and call a spade a spade. It is this “political correctness” which has landed us in this “war on terrorism”.

Posted By Spade

Good for Tancredo! This is a great idea, however, the politically correct elite will feel this is too “extreme” to deal with attacks on N.A.

Posted By Susan, Alberta, Canada

I agree, bomb their holiest cities.

Posted By AC, Tampa, FL

I agree with Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo’s assertion that the U.S. must be able to attack holy sites and/or any other target that matters most to terrorists as a way of life. They attack our way of life. They attacked the American people. The United States must be able to make Muslims, or any other group, think twice about attacking U.S. interests. Having been deployed in Iraq for 30 months straight, the U.S. military is fighting with one arm tied behind their backs, because of bad foreign policy and politics. The current foreign policy and tactics of the U.S. is a failure in Iraq and against terrorism in general, period. Enough politicking. More action is needed that not only protects the integrity of our Constitution and way of life, but the future of our children and the rest of the world. As long as the American government is seen as weak in responses to catastrophes against the U.S., the more attacks will be given birth.

Posted By Mike. Atlanta, Georgia

Tancredo’s policy would also ensure that planning any such attack is almost impossible, as fellow Muslims would give up their compatriots to prevent such retribution

Posted By Roger, NYC, NY

Outstanding; it is about time somebody had the courage to stand up and suggest something that the silent majority would support! Before Vietnam, wars were fought by the military; not by the media and ignorant government officials. What are those currently opposed to this war going to say when it truly reaches our shores and endangers THEIR lives?

Posted By Michael E Blackmore, St. Cloud, FL

Treat the Islamic fundamentalists like Japan of the 1940’s. Blunt force trauma is the only thing that they will respect and understand. Good call Tom.

Posted By Steve, Oakville, Ontario

Finally! Yes! The perfect deterrent. Absolutely! I am behind this idea 110%. Since they hold no value on human life, but only on “holy” places, I can’t think of anything that would be
